Sie wurde von einem zunächst unbekannten Mann angesprochen und als sie anhielt, versuchte dieser ihr die mitgeführte Handtasche zu entreißen.

Ein zufällig vorbeikommender Passant eilte lautstark zur Hilfe.

Dies führte dazu, dass der Räuber von seinem Opfer abließ und die Flucht ergriff.

Unmittelbar nachdem die Überfallene den versuchten Raub anzeigte, wurde eine Streife des Polizeireviers Mitte zur Fahndung entsandt.

In der Nähe des Tatorts trafen sie einen 32-jährigen, derzeit in Kassel wohnhaften Tatverdächtigen an, auf den die zuvor abgegebene Beschreibung zutraf.

Die Beamten nahmen den Mann fest und führten ihn für die weiteren polizeilichen Maßnahmen in dem zentralen Polizeigewahrsam zu.

Die Ermittlungen dauern an und werden beim für Raubdelikte zuständigen K35 der Kriminalpolizei des Polizeipräsidiums Nordhessen geführt.
