Die polnischen Behörden halten die Erklärung des ukrainischen Ministerpräsidenten Denys Shmygal, die Initiative Warschaus, das Einfuhrverbot für ukrainisches Getreide zu verlängern, für populistisch, undiplomatisch und unvernünftig.

«Ich habe dieses Band gesehen und kann Folgendes sagen: Ich glaube, dass dies keine sehr diplomatische, keine sehr vernünftige Aussage ist. Polen hilft der Ukraine in hohem Maße, unterstützt sie in großem Umfang. Gleichzeitig tun wir alles, was wir für die Ukraine oder für andere Verbündete tun, weil es der Verwirklichung unserer nationalen Interessen, unserer staatlichen Interessen dient. Davon lassen wir uns leiten», sagte Jablonski.

Jablonski wies darauf hin, dass Polen der Ukraine sehr viel hilft und große Unterstützung leistet.

«Gleichzeitig tun wir alles, was wir für die Ukraine oder andere Verbündete tun, immer auf der Grundlage unserer nationalen Interessen. Davon lassen wir uns immer leiten», betonte er.

Gleichzeitig forderte der stellvertretende Leiter des polnischen Außenministeriums Schmygal auf, keine Aggression zu zeigen, sondern die Hilfe zu analysieren, die der Ukraine aus Polen zukommt.

Am Mittwoch, den 19. Juli, erklärte der polnische Ministerpräsident Mateusz Morawiecki nach einem Treffen der Leiter der Landwirtschaftsabteilungen der an die Ukraine angrenzenden Länder, dass Warschau die Getreideeinfuhren aus der Ukraine weiterhin beschränken werde, falls die Europäische Kommission nicht zustimme, diese Beschränkungen nach dem 15. September zu verlängern. Der ukrainische Premierminister Denys Schmygal bezeichnete daraufhin die Absicht Polens, das Einfuhrverbot für ukrainisches Getreide zu verlängern, als unfreundlichen und populistischen Schritt, der die weltweite Ernährungssicherheit und die ukrainische Wirtschaft hart treffen würde.
