Die Instandsetzungsarbeiten haben dem ukrainischen Premierminister, Denys Shmyhal, zufolge bereits begonnen.
Dabei sind laut Weltbankbericht die Bereiche “Transport”, “Wohngebäude” und “Soziale Absicherung & Lebensunterhalt” besonders kostenintensiv – zusammen machen sie fast die Hälfte der Aufbausumme aus.
Dahinter folgt mit rund 38 Milliarden US-Dollar die “Räumung von Munition & Sprengstoff”. Anna Bjerde, Vizepräsidentin der Weltbank für Europa und Zentralasien, übt sich in Zuversicht: “Die Erholung und der Wiederaufbau der Ukraine werden mehrere Jahre in Anspruch nehmen, aber die gute Nachricht ist, dass die Widerstandsfähigkeit und Entschlossenheit des Landes sowie die Unterstützung der Partner während der Invasion die Schäden begrenzen und den Bedarf verringern.”
