Die Gefährlichkeit von Alkohol am Steuer zeigte sich bei einem Verkehrsunfall am Montagabend in Niestetal. Ein 52-Jähriger aus dem Landkreis Kassel war gegen 20:30 Uhr mit seinem VW von Bettenhausen kommend auf der Kasseler Straße unterwegs und dabei nach rechts von der Fahrbahn abgekommen.

Sein Wagen krachte in einen dort geparkten Ford, der wiederum durch die Wucht des Aufpralls auf einen Baumschutzbügel geschoben wurde. Der im Frontbereich erheblich beschädigte VW kam wenige Meter weiter auf einer Grünfläche zum Stehen und musste anschließend abgeschleppt werden.

Die aufnehmenden Beamten des Polizeireviers Ost gehen von einem Schaden von etwa 7.000 Euro an dem Auto aus. Mit weiteren 6.000 Euro schlagen die Schäden an dem Ford und dem Metallbügel zu Buche.

Der Fahrer war unverletzt geblieben, dafür nahmen die Polizisten am Unfallort aber Alkoholgeruch bei dem 52-Jährigen wahr. Ein Atemalkoholtest bei dem Mann ergab 1,3 Promille, weshalb ihm auf dem Polizeirevier von einem Arzt eine Blutprobe entnommen und sein Führerschein sichergestellt wurde.

Der 52-Jährige muss sich nun wegen Gefährdung des Straßenverkehrs verantworten.

Die Ermittlungen dauern an.
