Da vergisst man leicht, dass Apothekerinnen und Apotheker einige Medikamente per Hand herstellen. Dabei handelt es sich um solche, die nicht ins Raster der Pharmaindustrie passen: von Zusatzstoffen, die nicht vertragen werden, einem niedriger dosierten Wirkstoff für Kinder oder Schmerzmittel in der Palliativmedizin, die in eine Darreichungsform verpackt werden müssen, die die Patientin oder der Patient noch zu sich nehmen kann. 2021 wurden so etwa zwölf Millionen Rezepturen für gesetzlich Versicherte in Deutschland hergestellt. “Die Rezeptur ist in meinen Augen die Zukunft der Apotheke. Das, was wir hier leisten, kann keine Pharmaindustrie, keine Versandapotheke, kein Drogeriemarkt übernehmen: personalisierte Medizin eben.”, sagt Apothekerin Franziska Scharpf im Gesundheitsmagazin “Apotheken Umschau”.

Nicht lieferbare Medikamente selbst mörsern

Sind Arzneistoffe nicht lieferbar, wie es seit vergangenem Sommer immer wieder mit Paracetamol oder Ibuprofen und aktuell mit Antibiotika wie Amoxicillin der Fall ist, müssen Fertigarzneien für individuelle Rezepturen verarbeitet werden. Dann mörsern PTAs Tabletten von Hand, um Fieber- oder Antibiotikasaft für Kinder herzustellen.

Das NRF listet rund 3000 Formeln auf

Als Apothekerin haftet Scharpf dafür, dass die Arznei keinen Schaden anrichtet. Hat sie schon mal ein Rezept ganz zurückgewiesen? “Nein, aber Rücksprache mit den Ärzten gibt es schon immer wieder”, schildert sie. Als nationales Rezeptverzeichnis dient ihr das Neue Rezeptur-Formularium (NRF) mit rund 3000 Formeln, Prüf- und Herstellungshinweisen, das halbjährlich aktualisiert wird. Rezepturen, die darin aufgeführt sind, sind gründlich geprüft.
