Laut ersten Zeugenaussagen soll ein offensichtlich betrunkener Mann versucht haben, ein 5-jähriges Mädchen zu treten. Der Vater des Kindes gab an, dass er mit seiner Tochter in der Warteschlange des DB Info-Pointes wartete, bis sich plötzlich der 44-jährige Mann aus Edermünde ihnen näherte und grundlos in Richtung des Kopfes des Kindes trat. Glücklicherweise verfehlte der Tritt das Kind. Eine verständigte Streife der Bundespolizeiinspektion Kassel nahm den polizeibekannten Mann vor Ort fest. Anschließend musste er die Beamten für weitere polizeiliche Maßnahmen zur Wache begleiten.

Eine freiwillig durchgeführte Atemalkoholkontrolle ergab einen Wert von über 2 Promille. Die Bundespolizeiinspektion Kassel hat die Ermittlungen aufgenommen und ein Strafverfahren wegen versuchter gefährlicher Körperverletzung eingeleitet.
