beim Sachsenlotto Cup belohnt wurde. Nach 60 Minuten gewann die DEG ein munteres Testspiel mit 2:0 (0:0, 1:0. 1:0).

Im Tor der Huskies startete Kristian Hufsky. Nicht im Kader standen hingegen Brandon Maxwell, Joel Keussen, Marco Müller, Connor Korte und Lars Reuß. Von Beginn an brachten beide Teams ordentlich Tempo auf das Eis. Louis Brune und Carson McMillan hatten die ersten Abschlüsse auf Seiten der Huskies, die im Auftaktdrittel durch Tristan Keck die größte Gelegenheit hatten, welche Haukeland im DEG-Tor jedoch im eins gegen eins vereitelte.

Auch im Mittelabschnitt ging es mit energisch geführten Zweikämpfen weiter. Düsseldorf gelang dann ein durchaus kurioser Führungstreffer. In der Unordnung vor dem Kasseler
Tor schaltete Oliver Mebus am schnellsten und traf zum 1:0 (23.). Wie schon im ersten Testspiel gegen Wolfsburg wechselte Bo Subr zur Hälfte des Spiels auf der Torhüterposition und schickte Philipp Maurer für Kristian Hufsky auf das Eis.

Die Huskies  wollen unbedingt den Ausgleich, waren mit Ahlroths Pfostenschuss nah dran und hatten dann eine fünfminütige Überzahlgelegenheit, die sie mit in das letzte Drittel nahmen.

Brune und Keck scheitern zu Beginn des Schlussdrittels jeweils an Henrik Haukeland – die Nordhessen konnten ihr Powerplay letztlich nicht nutzen. Es war ein laufintensives Spiel
der Huskies, die in eigener Unterzahl ebenfalls wenig zuließen. Die Huskies zeigten großen kämpferischen Einsatz und gingen gegen den clever und kompakt agierenden Erstligisten
jedem Punkt energisch nach. Mit einem eiskalten Konter und perfektem Schuss stellte Düsseldorf letztlich durch Josef Eham auf 2:0 (56.), dem die Nordhessen nichts mehr entgegensetzten.

Für das Team von Bo Subr steht am Sonntag um 15:30 nun das Spiel um Platz drei an. Der Gegner ermittelt sich im zweiten Halbfinale des Sachsenlotto Cup am Samstagabend
