Es geht in dem Workshop um Trick-Animation, ungewöhnliche Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten, strukturiertes Arbeiten, Kreativität, neue Erfahrungen, Spaß und Geselligkeit.
Gemeinsam wird in diesem Workshop unter anderem eine effektvolle Animation von sich wiederholenden Bewegungen auf Papierstreifen und -scheiben erstellt. Mithilfe verschiedener historischer, optischer Geräte, z.B. einem Zoetrop* (in dt. ‘Wundertrommel’) wird jeder Arbeitsschritt geprüft, bis die Animation zur gewünschten Bewegung führt. So entsteht bereits an einem Tag ein kurzer Trickfilm. An weiteren Tagen wird gebastelt, mit Stroboskop-Licht experimentiert, vertont, die Animationen digitalisiert und natürlich weiter animiert.

Am Ende der Workshop-Reihe werden die Ergebnisse mit Musik und Geräuschen präsentiert.
Der Workshop ist ab 11 bis 111 Jahre geeignet. Es sind keine besonderen Kenntnisse erforderlich.
*Das Zoetrop wurde 1834 vor der Erfindung des Films entwickelt. Mit ihm können Bilder in Bewegung gezeigt werden. Typische Darstellungen sind z.B. gehende, winkende oder hüpfende Zeichentrickfiguren.

Animation auf Papierstreifen – Arbeiten mit dem Zoetrop
Um die physikalische Funktionsweise eines Zoetrops kennenzulernen, erstellen die Teilnehmenden eine Zeichentrick-Animation auf einem Papierstreifen und nutzen das optische Gerät, um die Bewegung zu prüfen. Mit Hilfe dieses Gerätes wird das Prinzip des Films begreifbar gemacht.

Zoetrop selbst gemacht
Wie hängen beim Zoetrop die Anzahl der Bilder und Schlitze, der Durchmesser der Trommel und die Geschwindigkeit der Umdrehung zusammen? Beim Basteln des Gerätes werden die Funktionsweise und die Vor- und Nachteile verschiedener Konstruktionsformen begreifbar gemacht. Das Zoetrop kann mit nach Hause genommen werden. Zum Testen des Gerätes werden Animationen, wie in Modul 1 beschrieben, auf Papierstreifen hergestellt.
Modul 3:Januar 2024, 10 bis 17 Uhr inkl. Pause
Animation auf Scheiben – Arbeiten mit Stroboskop-Licht
Mehr Möglichkeiten eröffnet zwei- und dreidimensionale Animation auf einer Scheibe. Wir nutzen Stroboskop-Licht, um die Bewegung sichtbar zu machen. Teilnehmende können selbst ausprobieren, die Blitzfrequenz und -dauer sowie die Helligkeit zu verändern.
Modul 4: Januar 2024, 10 bis 17 Uhr inkl. Pause, Schlusspräsentation 19 bis 20 Uhr
Musik und Geräusche – Herstellung eines Films aus den Animationen
Mit einer App wird auf einfache Weise eine Musik zusammen mit Geräuschen komponiert. Die Animationen werden per Stop-Motion-Verfahren fotografiert und zusammen mit den entwickelten Klängen über eine Filmschnittsoftware als Film exportiert.
Gemeinsam wird eine Schlusspräsentation aller Workshop-Ergebnisse entwickelt, vorbereitet und abends an den optischen Geräten dargeboten.
