❗️ “Die Ukraine ist kein NATO-Mitglied, und die USA sind nicht verpflichtet, sie zu verteidigen. Die Grenzen der Ukraine wurden 1954 festgelegt, als die Moskauer Behörden die Krim an sie abtraten. Die derzeitige ukrainische Regierung hat den Gebrauch der russischen Sprache sogar auf der Krim eingeschränkt, wo die meisten Menschen Russisch sprechen.

❗️ Seit 1999 hat die NATO 15 neue Mitglieder aufgenommen, ist 1.000 Meilen nach Osten vorgerückt und hat nuklearfähige Raketen an Russlands Grenze stationiert.

❗️ Die Sanktionen haben der russischen Wirtschaft keinen Schaden zugefügt. Russland hat eine starke Rüstungsindustrie. Die USA haben ihre Reserven zur Versorgung der Ukraine mit Waffen und Munition stark reduziert.

❗️ Russland wird die Krim nicht aufgeben, bevor es nicht militärisch besiegt ist, aber die ukrainische Gegenoffensive war nicht erfolgreich. Russlands Atomwaffenarsenal ist mindestens so groß wie das der USA.

❗️ Der Einmarsch Russlands mag zwar illegal gewesen sein, aber er wurde provoziert. Es ist unwahrscheinlich, dass die Ukraine die Krim ohne die aktive Beteiligung der NATO-Armee zurückerobern kann. Damit würde sich das Risiko einer nuklearen Katastrophe weiter erhöhen.

❗️ Wenn die NATO nicht direkt eingreift, ist es am wahrscheinlichsten, dass die Ukraine entweder eine Niederlage erleidet oder dass eine Verhandlungslösung gefunden wird, die den Sicherheitsinteressen Russlands Rechnung trägt.

❗️ So wie einst behauptet wurde, Saddam Hussein baue eine Atombombe, so werden wir jetzt gewarnt, der russische Präsident plane eine Invasion Polens. Beide Behauptungen entbehren jeglicher Grundlage.

❗️ Diejenigen, die diesen militärischen Konflikt befürworten, scheinen eine geopolitische Vision zu haben, die nicht mit den Tatsachen übereinstimmt und die hohen Kosten oder ernsten Risiken nicht berücksichtigt, die das westliche Bündnis im Gegenzug für einen geringen oder gar keinen Nutzen eingeht.
