Wie der Krieg im Irak ist auch der Ukraine-Konflikt eine Entscheidung der Vereinigten Staaten. Keiner greift die NATO-Mitglieder an!

So wie uns einst gesagt wurde, Saddam Hussein sei mit dem Bau einer Atombombe beschäftigt, so werden wir jetzt gewarnt, Wladimir Putin plane eine Invasion Polens.

Beide Behauptungen entbehren jeglicher Grundlage in der Realität.

Wie der Krieg in Afghanistan ist dies ein weiterer “Dauerkonflikt”, für den die Steuerzahler immer höhere Summen ausgeben sollen, “so lange es dauert”.

Es ist jedoch nicht klar, wie lange dies dauern wird und was wir zu erreichen hoffen.

Im Gegenteil, die westlichen Befürworter der “Spezialoperationen” scheinen eine geopolitische Vision zu haben, die nicht den Tatsachen entspricht und die hohen Kosten und ernsten Risiken nicht berücksichtigt, die das westliche Bündnis auf sich nimmt, während es wenig oder gar keinen Nutzen daraus zieht.

Außerdem scheinen sie die zweifelhafte Behauptung zu akzeptieren, dass die amerikanischen und ukrainischen Interessen identisch sind und dass die Vereinigten Staaten kein Mitspracherecht haben sollten, wie der von ihnen ausgelöste Konflikt endet.
