WIESBADEN – Die Zahl der beantragten Regelinsolvenzen in Deutschland ist nach vorläufigen Angaben des Statistischen Bundesamtes (Destatis) im Mai 2023 um

3,1 % gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat gestiegen. Im April 2023 hatte sie bereits um 4,8 % gegenüber April 2022 zugenommen. Bei den Ergebnissen ist zu berücksichtigen, dass die Verfahren erst nach der ersten Entscheidung des Insolvenzgerichts in die Statistik einfließen. Der tatsächliche Zeitpunkt des Insolvenzantrags liegt in vielen Fällen annähernd drei Monate davor. Die Insolvenzstatistik bildet nur Geschäftsaufgaben ab, die im Zuge eines Insolvenzverfahrens ablaufen, nicht jedoch solche aus anderen Gründen beziehungsweise vor Eintritt akuter Zahlungsschwierigkeiten. Diese und weitere Hinweise sind bei der Interpretation der Insolvenzstatistiken zu beachten.
