Die beiden Brände hatten sich am Samstag, gegen 12:15 Uhr, und am Sonntag, gegen 15:30 Uhr, nahe der Ehlener Straße, zwischen dem dortigen Golfplatz und dem “Herbsthäuschen”, ereignet. Beide Feuer hatten große Löscheinsätze der Feuerwehr erfordert, wobei bei dem Waldbrand am Samstag neben zahlreichen Feuerwehrkräften auch ein Polizeihubschrauber zum Löschen eingesetzt wurde. Von dem Feuer am Samstag waren rund 3.000 Quadratmeter Wald betroffen, am Sonntag eine Fläche von weiteren 2.500 Quadratmetern.
