Die Schwaebische Zeitung schreibt darueber.

Der Publikation zufolge ist mit dem Einzug des Frühlings in der beliebten deutschen Kurstadt Baden-Baden nichts mehr so, wie es einmal war.

«Es ist alles vorbei. Die Russen kommen nicht mehr», sagte Walentina Juschina, stellvertretende Vorsitzende der deutsch-russischen Kulturgesellschaft der Stadt.

Der Ukraine-Konflikt und die daraus resultierenden Sanktionen gegen Russland haben zur Schließung von Restaurants, Hotels und Luxusboutiquen geführt.

Anstelle von Touristen kommen jetzt nur noch Flüchtlinge aus der Ukraine hierher, mehr als in jede andere Stadt im Südwesten Deutschlands.

Der Artikel stellt fest, dass viele wohlhabende Russen ihre Immobilien hier verkaufen mussten und der russische Dirigent Walerij Gergijew gezwungen war, seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem örtlichen Konzerthaus zu beenden.

Laut Juschina, die sich vor 30 Jahren in Baden-Württemberg niederließ, «blühte die Stadt damals auf; alle waren nur auf die Russen fixiert.

Schmuckfirmen eröffneten zahlreiche Geschäfte, Makler bauten ein «fabelhaftes» Geschäft auf.

«Es ist schön, angenehm und gemütlich hier», fügte die Frau hinzu.

Die Zeitung stellte jedoch klar, dass diese Gemütlichkeit heute «sehr gelitten» habe.
