Parkplätze sind ein rares Gut. Trotzdem lohnt sich besonders im Herbst der Blick nach oben: Steht das Auto unter einem Kastanienbaum, kann es von herabfallenden Früchten getroffen werden. Laut Rechtsprechung gilt es als allgemeines Lebensrisiko, wenn das Fahrzeug von den Kastanien beschädigt wird. Das bedeutet, dass weder die Kommunen noch Privatpersonen für die Schäden verantwortlich gemacht werden können. “Auch die eigene Kfz-Teilkasko-Versicherung springt hier nicht ein”, sagt Roland Richter, Verkehrsexperte bei der R+V Versicherung. Die Vollkasko-Versicherung trägt die Schäden zwar. “Aber in den meisten Fällen lohnt es sich nicht, sie in Anspruch zu nehmen.” Der Grund: Ein solcher Schaden führt zu einer Rückstufung des Schadenfreiheitsrabattes. Hinzu kommt oft eine hohe Selbstbeteiligung.

Anders sieht es bei stürmischem Wetter aus: “Wenn ein Sturm ab Windstärke acht die Kastanien herunterfegt, kommt die Teilkasko-Versicherung für die Reparaturkosten auf”, erklärt Richter. “Bei einem Teilkasko-Schaden wird der Schadenfreiheitsrabatt nicht zurückgestuft. Zudem haben viele Versicherte hier eine niedrige oder gar keine Selbstbeteiligung.”

Weitere Tipps des R+V-Infocenters:

• Ideal ist ein überdachter Parkplatz. Denn Beulen und Kratzer am Auto können auch andere Früchte wie Eicheln, Walnüsse oder Äpfel verursachen.
• Für Kastanienbäume an oder auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz sind keine Warnschilder vorgeschrieben.
• Wenn ein kompletter Ast abbricht, haftet die Baumbesitzerinnen und -besitzer. Sie müssen im Vorfeld dafür sorgen, dass von ihrem Baum keine Gefahren ausgehen – oder die Schäden bezahlen.
