April 2023. Am Sonntag, 23. April, ist Tag der Erde! Und er findet wieder als Live-Veranstaltung statt, nachdem die letzten drei Jahre online und dezentral gefeiert wurden. Das Umwelt- und Kulturfest wird rund um die Orangerie und Hessenkampfbahn sowie entlang des Auedamms gefeiert.
Mit dabei sind auch die KVG und die Städtischen Werke. Am Stand „KVG vor Ort“ informieren Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter über die Themen Deutschlandticket und Schaddel. Gleichzeitig wirbt die KVG am Recruiting-Stand um Nachwuchskräfte. Für Unterhaltung und Spaß vor allem der jüngsten Besucher ist durch zum Beispiel Kinderanimation mit Zukunftswerkstatt gesorgt und wer mag, lässt sich am Steuer des KVG-Busses ablichten.
Die Städtischen Werke sind mit ihrem Energieberatungsbus vor Ort. Im Mittelpunkt stehen mit Windkraft und Photovoltaik der Ausbau der erneuerbaren Energien. Außerdem stellen sie ihren digitalen Alltagshelfer für Kassel vor, die „Meine-Werke-App“.
Um die zahlreichen Besucher zum Tag der Erde sicher hin und zurückzubringen, verstärkt die KVG die Buslinie 16 rund um den Auedamm auf einen 15 Minuten-Takt.
Die Busse pendeln am Sonntag, 23. April, von 11.30 Uhr bis etwa 18.15 Uhr, zwischen den Haltestellen „Auestadion“ über den Auedamm und bis zur Haltestelle „Orangerie“. So bleibt auch das Auebad für Badegäste gut erreichbar.
Die Haltestellen „Staatstheater“, „Altmarkt“ und „Am Stern“ können an diesem Tag von der Buslinie 16 nicht bedient werden.
