Kassel-Süd:

Nach einer Brandstiftung vor einem Imbiss in der Kasseler Südstadt am 25. November 2022 konnte der bislang unbekannte Täter trotz intensiver Ermittlungen nicht identifiziert werden. Daher hat ein Richter nun die Öffentlichkeitsfahndung mit einem Foto und einem Video einer Überwachungskamera angeordnet. Die mit dem Fall betrauten Ermittler des Kommissariats 11 der Kasseler Kripo erhoffen sich durch die Veröffentlichung nun, Hinweise auf den Brandstifter aus der Bevölkerung zu erhalten.

Die Tat in der Frankfurter Straße, Ecke Heinrich-Heine-Straße, hatte sich am 25. November 2022 gegen 2:15 Uhr ereignet. Der bislang unbekannte Täter hatte zu dieser Zeit weiße Platten, ähnlich einer Schrankwand, und einen Karton mit unbekanntem Inhalt vor den Imbiss verbracht. Anschließend steckte er die platzierten Gegenstände an und legte so den Brand, bevor er die Flucht ergriff. Ein zufällig vorbeikommender Lkw-Fahrer war auf das Feuer vor dem Lokal aufmerksam geworden und hatte die Feuerwehr alarmiert, während er sofort mit zwei Feuerlöschern begann zu löschen. So konnte zwar eine weitere Ausbreitung des Brandes bis zum Eintreffen der Feuerwehr verhindert werden, dennoch entstand an dem Imbiss ein Sachschaden von 4.000 Euro.

Bei dem Täter handelte es sich um einen ca. 60 Jahre alten und schlanken Mann mit schütterem Haar/ Halbglatze, der eine dunkelgraue Jacke, einen hellen Pullover, eine dunkle Hose und Handschuhe trug. Bei seiner Flucht hielt er eine rote Tasche in der Hand.
