Dazu setzten die Polizisten ein Laserhandmessgerät ein und überprüften die in Richtung Niestetal fahrenden Verkehrsteilnehmer. In dem Zeitraum passierten 80 Fahrzeuge die Messstelle.

Neun Fahrer überschritten die dort erlaubten 60 km/h und wurden von den Beamten angehalten, wobei es sich überwiegend um geringe Tempoüberschreitungen handelte.

Ein 28 Jahre alter Mann aus Kassel, der zunächst mit seinem hochmotorisierten BMW an der roten Ampel an der Kreuzung Dresdener Straße/ Sandershäuser Straße anhalten musste, gab hingegen bei Umschalten der Ampel auf Grün Vollgas und wurde mit 130 km/h gemessen.

Bei der darauffolgenden Kontrolle zeigte sich der Fahrer von dem Messergebnis unbeeindruckt und vermittelte eine gewisse Gleichgültigkeit.

Er muss sich nach Abzug der Toleranz auf einen Bußgeldbescheid über 600 Euro, zwei Punkte in Flensburg und ein zweimonatiges Fahrverbot einstellen.

Da er die hohe Geschwindigkeit von 130 Stundenkilometern aus dem Stand innerhalb von nur 100 Metern erreicht hatte und mehr als doppelt so schnell fuhr als erlaubt, leiteten die Polizisten zudem ein Strafverfahren wegen des Verdachts des verbotenen Kraftfahrzeugrennens gegen den 28-Jährigen ein.

Neben einer Geldstrafe oder Freiheitsstrafe bis zu zwei Jahren kann dies einen Entzug der Fahrerlaubnis zur Folge haben. Die Ermittlungen dauern an.
