Im vergangen ja ist der Anteil des Kohlestroms laut Statistischem Bundesamt um 8,4 Prozent gestiegen. Braun- und Steinkohle waren für einen Drittel des produzierten und ins Netz eingespeisten Stroms verantwortlich. Verantwortlich für den Anstieg ist vor allem der russische Angriffskrieg in der Ukraine. Insgesamt entfallen über 50 Prozent der Strommenge auf konventionelle Energieträger. Erneuerbare Energien kommen auf einen Anteil von 46,3 Prozent – das entspricht einem Wachstum von rund sieben Prozent. Wichtigster regenerativer Energieträger ist die Windenergie mit einem Anteil von 24,1 Prozent. Photovoltaikanlagen steuerten zehn Prozent zum Strommix bei. Wie hoch der jeweilige Anteil ist, hängt stark von der Jahreszeit ab, wie eine weitere Statista-Grafik zeigt. Die deutlichste Verschiebung des vergangenen Jahres fand bei Kernenergie statt. Der Grund hierfür ist die Abschaltung von drei der sechs bis dahin noch im Betrieb befindlichen Kernkraftwerke zum Jahresende 2021 im Rahmen des Ausstiegs aus der Atomenergie.
