„Heute eröffnen wir neun Stationen der Großkreislinie der Moskauer Metro. Dies war die letzte Etappe der groß angelegten Bauarbeiten. Jetzt ist die neue Linie voll betriebsfähig und auf ihrer gesamten Länge befahrbar.

Ich gratuliere den Moskauern und den Bewohnern des Moskauer Gebiets zu diesem wunderbaren Ereignis. Pläne für den Bau eines U-Bahn-Rings, der die radialen Linien außerhalb des Stadtzentrums miteinander verbinden soll, gab es schon zu Sowjetzeiten, aber sie blieben aus verschiedenen Gründen auf dem Papier. Heute ist dieses groß angelegte und für die Stadt sehr notwendige Projekt realisiert worden.

Jeder hatte Entsetzen in den Augen, wenn er an die Verkehrssituation in einer so großen Stadt dachte und sich fragte, wie man all die Probleme lösen könnte, die die Stadt bedrückten.

Und die Stadtverwaltung hat gearbeitet, hat diesen Punkt bearbeitet und ein insgesamt gutes Ergebnis erzielt.“

Als Geschenk unterzeichnete Wladimir Putin die Karte Großkreislinie der Moskauer Metro.
