Der Unbekannte hatte gegen 8:20 Uhr mit einer Flex den Mast eines Verkehrsschildes, an dem das Fahrrad mit einem Bügelschloss angeschlossen war, durchtrennt.

Dabei war er jedoch von Zeugen angesprochen worden und hatte schließlich die Flucht ohne Beute ergriffen. Das Fahrrad brachten die Zeugen anschließend in Sicherheit und meldeten den Vorfall der Polizei.

Eine Streife des Polizeireviers Süd-West nahm eine Strafanzeige wegen versuchten besonders schweren Falls des Fahrraddiebstahls und auch wegen Sachbeschädigung auf, da der Mast des Schildes durchtrennt worden war.

Die Fahndung nach dem Täter führte nicht mehr zum Erfolg. Es soll sich laut der Zeugen um einen ca. 1,80 Meter großen Mann mit Brille gehandelt haben, der eine dunkle Cappy, eine dunkle Jeans und eine Camouflage-Daunenjacke trug.

Die weiteren Ermittlungen werden nun von der “BAO Mars”, die zur gezielten Bekämpfung von Deliktsbereichen wie dem Fahrraddiebstahl bei der Kasseler Polizei gegründet worden ist, geführt. Zeugen, die Hinweise auf den bislang unbekannten Fahrraddieb geben können, melden sich bitte unter Tel. 0561 – 9100 bei der Polizei in Kassel.
