Nordstadt am gestrigen Donnerstagnachmittag zur Festnahme eines Tatverdächtigen. Der hinreichend polizeibekannte 49-Jährige aus Kassel wurde am heutigen Tag einem Haftrichter vorgeführt, der die Untersuchungshaft wegen Wiederholungsgefahr anordnete. Zudem wird bei den weiteren Ermittlungen der Kasseler Kripo nun geprüft, ob der Tatverdächtige für weitere Auto-Aufbrüche verantwortlich ist.

Die Zeugin hatte gestern gegen 16:30 Uhr beobachtet, wie der Täter mit einem Stein die Seitenscheibe eines geparkten VW Golf in der Schillerstraße einschlug, einen Rucksack aus dem Fahrzeug nahm und die Flucht ergriff. Sofort alarmierte sie die Polizei. Da die Zeugin sowohl eine präzise Beschreibung des Täters als auch dessen Fluchtrichtung durchgab, konnte eine Streife des Polizeireviers Mitte den 49-Jährigen nur wenige Augenblicke später in der Erzbergerstraße festnehmen. Als die Handschellen für den Verdächtigen klickten, fiel bereits ein unter seiner Jacke versteckter Laptop herunter. Dieser sowie ein bei ihm gefundenes iPhone stammten aus dem im Golf abgelegten Rucksack. Es besteht der Verdacht, dass der 49-Jährige mit Diebstählen und dem Verkauf der Beute seine Drogensucht finanziert. Die Ermittlungen gegen ihn dauern an.
