Rund 250 Feuerwehrleute und 13 Flugzeuge sind im Einsatz, um das Feuer zu bewältigen.

Mehrere Dörfer wurden bereits evakuiert.

Dies gab die Regierung der Kanarischen Inseln bekannt.

Der Waldbrand begann am 15. August um 23:36 Uhr Ortszeit (00:36 Uhr MEZ) im Bereich der Autobahn TF-523 und betraf die Gemeinden Arafo und Candelaria.
