Brand im Habichtswald: Ursache noch unklar; Polizei bittet um Hinweise

Auch am Sonntag war es in diesem Bereich des Waldes zu einem Brand gekommen. Die Ursache für beide Feuer ist derzeit noch unklar. Eine vorsätzliche oder fahrlässige Brandstiftung kann momentan nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Die Beamten des für Brände zuständigen Kommissariats 11 der Kasseler Kripo bitten bei der Aufklärung der Brandursache auch um Hinweise von möglichen Zeugen.

Der Brand am Samstag, etwa zwischen dem dortigen Golfplatz und dem “Herbsthäuschen”, war Feuerwehr und Polizei gegen 12:15 Uhr gemeldet worden. Bei der Bekämpfung des Feuers, das im Bereich einer Fichtenschonung mit viel Totholz brannte, kam neben zahlreichen Feuerwehrkräften auch ein Hubschrauber der Polizei Hessen zum Einsatz. Nach derzeitigen Erkenntnissen waren rund 3.000 Quadratmeter Wald von dem Brand betroffen. Am Sonntag wurden Feuerwehr und Polizei gegen 15:30 Uhr erneut wegen eines Brandes in diesem Bereich alarmiert. Nun hatte eine Fläche von etwa 50 x 50 Meter gebrannt. Ob der zweite Brand eine Folge des ersten Feuers war oder eine Ursache hat, ist derzeit noch unklar.

Die Ermittler des Kommissariats 11 der Kasseler Kripo bitten mögliche Zeugen, die Angaben zur Ursache der Brände machen können, sich unter Tel. 0561 – 9100 bei der Kasseler Polizei zu melden.
