Am gestrigen Montagmorgen kam es gegen 7:25 Uhr zum Brand in einem Wohn- und Geschäftshaus in der Fünffensterstraße in Kassel.

Wie die an der Brandstelle eingesetzten Beamten des Kriminaldauerdienstes (KDD) berichten, war das Feuer in einer Dachgeschosswohnung des Hauses ausgebrochen, die derzeit unbewohnt ist.

Ein Hausbewohner hatte die Rauchentwicklung bemerkt und sofort die Feuerwehr alarmiert. Er und alle weiteren Bewohner konnten das Haus rechtzeitig verlassen und blieben nach bisherigem Kenntnisstand unverletzt.

Die betreffende Dachgeschosswohnung brannte komplett aus und ist unbewohnbar. Zwei benachbarte Wohnungen wiesen Brandschäden im Dachbereich auf. Zudem wurde eine darunterliegende Wohnung durch Löschwasser erheblich in Mitleidenschaft gezogen.

Der entstandene Gesamtsachschaden beläuft sich nach ersten vorsichtigen Schätzungen auf etwa 150.000 Euro.

Während des Feuerwehreinsatzes war die Fünffensterstraße für knapp vier Stunden gesperrt, wodurch es zu Behinderungen im Straßen- und Schienenverkehr kam. Der Verkehr wurde durch die Polizei abgeleitet.

Die genaue Brandursache ist derzeit noch unklar. Die weiteren Ermittlungen hierzu dauern an und werden von den Beamten des für Brände zuständigen Kommissariats 11 der Kasseler Kripo geführt.
