Wegen der am 8. und 9. Juli 2023 im Auestadion stattfindenden Deutschen Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften steht der Park and Ride-Parkplatz direkt neben Auestadion und Eissporthalle in der Zeit von Dienstag, 4. Juli, bis voraussichtlich Sonntag, 9. Juli, für die öffentliche Nutzung nicht zur Verfügung.

Die Zufahrt zu den Elektroladesäulen und den Parkmöglichkeiten für das anliegenden Fitnessstudio bleiben gewährleistet. Die frühzeitige Sperrung wird für den Aufbau von technischer Infrastruktur und Logistik benötigt.  Für Besucherinnen und Besucher der Deutschen Leichtathletik-Meisterschaften bestehen begrenzte Parkmöglichkeiten entlang der Fuldaaue. Es wird daher empfohlen, für die Anreise öffentliche Verkehrsmittel zu benutzen oder mit dem Fahrrad zu kommen. Abstellmöglichkeiten bieten 52 neu geschaffene Fahrradbügel an der Aueparkhalle sowie 28 Fahrradbügel der Universität und die öffentlichen Fahrradparkplätze an der Menzelstraße.  Die Stadt Kassel bedankt sich bei allen durch die Sperrung des Parkplatzes betroffenen Verkehrsteilnehmenden für ihr Verständnis. documenta-Stadt Kassel
