Kunst schauen oder doch lieber eine Tasse Kaffee?
Bei Hessen Kassel Heritage gibt es jetzt beides. Am 16. Juni startet ein neues Vermittlungsformat.
An ausgewählten Freitagen haben Besucher*innen die Möglichkeit, mit den Kurator*innen in aktuelle Forschungs- oder Ausstellungsprojekte eingeführt zu werden.

Nach 30 Minuten gibt es die Möglichkeit im Café Jérôme das Gesehene in entspannter Atmosphäre bei einem Heißgetränk zu diskutieren.

2023 begehen gleich zwei Briten ihren 300. Geburtstag: Joshua Reynolds (1723-1792), gefeierter Porträtist der britischen Society, und Landgräfin Marie (1723-1772), eine geborene englische Prinzessin.
Durch umfangreiche Recherchen konnten in der Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister zwei bislang als verschollen geltende Porträts von Reynolds identifiziert werden.

Sie beleuchtet die utopischen Pläne des Parks, seine wassertechnischen Experimente und seine künstlerischen Konzeptionen von Wasserfällen.

Zwischen dem Geplanten und dem Gebauten wird eine Geschichte erzählt.

Unser Bild von der Kunst des späten 19. Jahrhunderts ist geprägt von avantgardistischen Gruppen wie den Impressionist*innen.

Dabei war der Geschmack der breiten Massen stark beeinflusst von der Kunst, die an den staatlichen Akademien entstand und jährlich in sogenannten Salons ausgestellt wurde.

Hier buhlten unzählige Künstler*innen um ihre Käuferschaft mit Bildern, deren Stil immer noch stark der Tradition nach lebensechter Wiedergabe von Objekten folgte.
