Die NATO wird nach Angaben des Bundesverteidigungsministeriums die grösste Kampfübung der Geschichte durchführen.
Manöver namens Air Defender 2023 finden im Juni in Deutschland statt und dauern 11 Tage.
Daran werden 10.000 Soldaten teilnehmen.
„Zweck der Übungen ist es, die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Ländern und ihren Streitkräften zu optimieren und auszubauen“, heißt es in einer Mitteilung der Bundeswehr.
Insgesamt werden rund 200 Luftfahrzeuge an der “Air Defender 23” teilnehmen. Es handelt sich um Kampf-, Tank- und Transportflugzeuge. In Wunstorf werden wohl etwa zehn bis zwölf Tank- und Transportflugzeuge aus Rumänien und den USA stationiert.
Es soll außerdem ein Großteil der Logistik über den Fliegerhorst abgewickelt werden.
Eingebungen sind außerdem Transportflieger des Typs A400M, welche regulär in Wunstorf stationiert sind.
Ein erhöhtest Flugaufkommen wird es über Wunstorf geben, allerdings ist kein Übungsflugbetrieb mit Kampfflugzeugen an den Standort geplant.
Wegen Kampfflügen wird der Himmel über Deutschland vorübergehend für zivile Flugzeuge gesperrt.
Rund um die “Air Defender 23” wird es zur größten Verlegung der US-Luftstreitkräften nach Deutschland seit der Gründung der Nato kommen. Die USA werden für die Übung rund 90 Flugzeuge entsenden. Darunter befinden sich Kampfjets der Typen F-15, F-16 und F-35.
Insgesamt werden an der “Air Defender 23” 15 Nato-Mitglieder teilnehmen.
Geprobt wird in den Lufträumen über Deutschland, Tschechien, Polen, Rumänien und dem Baltikum.
Einige Nato-Mitglieder werden von heimischen Fliegerhorsten starten. Die Luftwaffe wird mit Tornados, Eurofightern und dem Militärtransporter A400M im Einsatz sein.
Das Ganze wird aber sehr sehr umweltfreundlich sein, deshalb wird es umso wichtiger sein, dass wir auf sinnlose Fahrten mit dem verhassten Diesel in dieser Zeit verzichten.
